One of the few German punk classics that has not been reprinted yet is the MANIACS / TIN CAN ARMY Split LP. MANIACS was a hardcore punk band that born in the summer of 1982 in Rotenburg from a few local bands (Blutverlust and Bunker). Which was connected from the beginning to the English hardcore punk style (G.B.H.VARUKERS, ONE WAY SYSTEM). In their texts, the band picked up on classic political point themes and sang against right-wing extremism and the established society. TIN CAN ARMY from Göttingen was the house band of the Juzi GÖ which was founded in 1982. The first release was released in 1983, the split LP with the MANIACS. The recordings were then recorded under pressure of time in the Musiclab in Berlin. Lyrically, Tin Can Army were very politically on the way, which was probably already too much for the label at the time, since a large part of the edition was supplemented by T.C.A. was not settled. The Ox-Fanzine described the band, which was quite rare, as "Best German intelligent Punkrockunderground, which is even more enthralling 20 years later." The split LP was released in 1984 at the time known in Germany label "MÌlleimer Records" ( including Inferno, Normahl, Chaos Z and many others). The Rerelease comes in the original cover artwork as InsideOut version, plus a 24-page booklet (also with the information that was left out at the first edition) and a 30cm x 30cm flyer.

 MARXBROS are the (non)musical continuation of the Dutch legacy of Paul and Olav. This music picks right up where LÄRM and SEEIN' RED left off. For this recording (and hopefully subsequent ones) they have enlisted the expert bass playing of Chris Dodge from SPAZZ/STIKKY/TO THE POINT. The tracks range from fast to faster and are both punk and blast-laiden, but also have boot stomping parts. Seventeen tracks that bring the 80's back into 2017. On the flip side, Belgian TRAVØLTA have expertly crafted thirteen tracks of angry blasty modern hardcore inspired fast punk. Both sides are wicked fast and thirty tracks will make a bad day seem more bearable after this record makes your heart rate soar and temporarily makes you see red.

It's not the first time that DOOMENTIA has been digging the old archives to exhume a long forgotten recording from the golden era of the extreme metal scene, a recent example being the sole two songs recorded by the ephemeral Swedish death masters EGYPT reissued on a glorious 7". Hell, some labels these days seem to live only to restore those ancient pieces of music from obscurity... Still, from time to time, one specific band or demo still knock you in the head by its sheer aggression or energy after all those years. MISCARIAGE is one those bands.

On paper, those Germans death merchants had a relatively short lifespan: they lurked for approximately two years in the darkest corridors of the Stuttgart area metal scene and recorded only one proper demo (if you count their live demo tape from '95) before kicking their singer out and switching both name (they then opted for MATRICIDE) and style. Only to fade into oblivion few months later, with only their former bass player Jan Rademaker maintaining later on a somehow profile in the scene with BLIZZARD and RADEMASSAKER...

Still, over twenty two years after its initial recording, 'Peace? Justice? Murder!' remains a fine piece of thrash/death history at a time when both sub-genres had been deemed as 'outdated'. Leaning closer in spirit to early INVOCATOR and PESTILENCE or even fellow countrymen DARK MILLENNIUM than to the classic sound of the 80's, they were quite sharp for such a young outfit and had a good sense of melody and even ideas that could be labelled as 'progressive', even if the shouting vocals of Sven Elvers still remains an acquired taste. With its five quite lengthy tracks and unusual take on this classic sound, MISCARIAGE was your typical 'make or break' type of band and even if, indeed, they didn't last very long, this sole twenty-five minutes long recording of theirs is a vibrant snippet of what they could have been... 

"Misery For A Living is a project whose origins can be traced directly back to 90s hardcore. Comprised of former members of Not One Word, The Guilt Show, Blame It On The Ocean, and Ivan!, Misery For A Living was formed in 2014 with the intention of blending the raw energy of 80’s hardcore with the consciousness of 90’s hardcore.

Their first full length – Life Is But The Shipwreck Of Our Plans – was recorded, mixed and mastered at Studio73 with their old friend Riccardo “Paso” Pasini (The Secret, Raein, Storm{o}, Reprisal, etc.) behind the desk. The album is a relentless succession of aggressive tunes, drenched in noise yet based on fast tempos, with the occasional blastbeats popping up to mess things up, that lead to crushing breakdowns and slower riffs.

Nicholas Worthington (Dead Swans, Last Shreds) makes a guest appearance on one of the songs, while the amazing artwork is courtesy of Francesco Curreli (ISLTN). The vinyl will be out on September 20th 2021 thanks to the precious help of the following fine labels: 5FeetUnder Records (Denmark), Against The Sun Records (Italy), Italian Extreme Underground (Italy), Passion Means Struggle Records (Germany), Sedation Records (Italy) and SPxDiscos (Germany).The band doesn’t necessarily wave any specific flag, although all the members believe in animal rights and being in control of their lives. They also strongly believe that intolerance, racism, fascism, sexism, misogyny and discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community have no place in this world, thus have to be fought (especially in the punk rock community, which sometimes isn’t the safe haven we think it is) by any means necessary.

Spanish grind legends Mixomatosis share this LP with grindcore blasters of Deformity 

Tunes for this LP were recorded last year in Haderslev, Denmark with assistance of a friend Dominik. The result is a totally crushing wall of doom, which adds a lot to the excellent songwriting. The whole concept of the album is enriched by a guest string trio with a „coda“ composed solely for this LP, which closes the first song and bridges over A side of the record with the B side. The final mastering was made by almighty producer James Plotkin.

This material is released as an LP in 300 pieces on red-transparent heavy 180 gram vinyl. The cover is a thick cardboard gatefold printed with a silk screening technique on all four sides in a two colour combination of black and red. The appealing artwork was drawn by a talented young artist called Or.lock. Our friend Martin is in charge of the silk-screening business. We have cooperated on our previous releases with him and he’s done an amazing job.

Ensorcelor come with one long track of creeping black doom. Slower and bleak but still keeping that fine melody. This is some of the sickest music we’ve released so far. Moloch on the other side come with their signature Eyehategod powerplay. Incredibly heavy and without any happiness to it. Put a gun in your mouth and pull the trigger. An all-American line up for this Split LP: Monuments Collapse are from San Francisco, Break Naofa from Seattle, and both provide epic slabs of doomed crust. The split is the shoegazeing bastard offspring of Neurosis and Fall Of Efrafa, with the influential cousin Converge adding a slight discordancy of the tunes. MC supply the heavier side with meaty, chugging riffs flowing beneath the beautifully eerie guitar tone and back of the hall vovals. Break Noafa have a more relaxed/laid back sound (expect for the last 80 seconds of their 2nd track "VIII" when it gets all chuggy). Both BN tracks are sprawling journeys that moroph from post-hardcore into dream-state crust and back again. Glorious

This one gives a shit about trends. Mörser are the Bremen-based Old School Deathmetal-Powerhouse since 15 years! This album is the resurrection of what was called ‘Bremer Schule’ in the late nineties of the last millennium: A brutal bastard of Groove, Deathmetal and Grindcore making no compromises to alternate with instrumental parts and some painful dissonances. Mörser are ready for 2011 - First Class Suicide is the evidence.

Exilent - Raging dispunk/crust that we already know from their first and second albums. Ini is sounding great with her raspy vocals with some raw backings and choruses. On this record the band have progressed further with better arrangements that work well with their lyrics, somewhere between dark reality and apocalyptic misery.

Moribund scum - Metalcrust from Brunswick, Germany, in the vein of Cancer Spreading, Fucking Amazing! 

Packed to the brim with galvanizing riffs, breakneck solos and thunderous d-beat comes „Into the void,“ first full-length from MORIBUND SCUM. „Into the void“ is an absolute masterclass in venomous, ripping metal/thrash. Everything is still wrapped around d-beat, thrash and crust, but there’s even more of an emphasis on ferociously catchy guitar wildness than ever before. If you are into music like Cancer Spreading or the alike, this band is definitely for you!

 Originally released 2013, the „Redneck Execution“ -demo built the fundaments of what is now the sound of Moribund Scum.
7 thrashing crust songs take no prisoners, the lyrics are direct yet thoughtful and deal with topics like religion, fascism or body shaming. All in all Redneck Execution shows perfectly how talented the musicians in Moribund Scum are and how much love and effort they put into their music. The following releases „Into the void“ and the split LP with partners in crime Exilent „Renewal“ continued this path.
The tape version of Redneck Execution was available on concerts and sold out soon. Twice.
Five years later, Moribund Scum decided to put out the demo one more time, but this time on vinyl. In colaboration with yours truly this release was executed.

無我 (Muga) was a melodic metallic Crust band from Nagoya, Japan. Apart from their two full-length releases, ''無我'' and ''There Is Nothing Eternal Exists'' there is the demo tape ''The Road of Asura'' and a split with Swarrrm.
