"Founded in 2013 in Rennes (western France) by Huata’s bassist B.Moreau with the will of pushing sludge in its more abrasive, mind-numbing corners, FANGE’s debut EP «Poisse» revealed a band with an uncommon take of the genre. Re-appropriating the classic Swedish death metal sound with detours to harsh noise, crust or metallic hardcore, the band now fully realize their sound on their first album «Purge», strengthened by a new line-up that features drummer B.Louvet and vocalist M.Jungbluth (Calvaiire).

> The new album is a step forward from the previous one, Ashes, in

terms of darkness and heaviness. The songs are faster due to the new

force behind the drumkit and the sound is more visceral, with the black

metal component more dominant but without sacrificing the dynamics that

were already present in Ashes. Also the melodies are enriched by the

addition of a second guitar. Lyrics go deep into the abyss of one’s  

inner self, describing a journey through the  fears and demons within

us, experiencing the process alchemically known as “Nigredo”, while

Under the mighty roar of fatally melodic and gruellingly dissonant black metal, the Leipzig trio Flesia sees the darkness of the world. The fitting soundtrack is provided by their debut album Trost, on which exactly that is not to be found.

The instrumentation, reduced exclusively to bass and drums, creates violently rearing acoustic walls and pulsating song structures – mostly lapsing into frenzy, but occasionally bursting into deeply painful resignation, but always consistently behind a unique backdrop of the brutal collapse of being.

After 10 years from their 2nd album, finally they put long awaited 3rd full length out as 15th anniversary of FUCK ON THE BEACH. You can see their specific progress with their former fast and ferocious way at same time. They got various approach in song writing with new drummer Kimura, ex. VIVISICK now playing for tempest too. Twin vocal of Tsuyosy and Atsushi makes rolling on the songs with full of negative lyrics, FOB have been pursued their way to play in the way of japanese fast and noisy and they finally got that on this album.

Fuck On The Beach

If you don't know what to expect here I can't really help, this is brutal, lightspeed clattering blasts, razorwire treble drenched guitar and whirling layered screaming at it's finest. Plenty of ear splitting distortion, feedback, mics peaking and everything way too loud in the best way. This is fun loving fastcore powervioelce from Japan which I'm pretty sure even has a 'clap-track' on the self titled outro track. Fucking excelent. This side of the split is primarily hyper fast d-beats with the odd blast thrown in, so is sonically the inverse of the Terlarang side. For fants of Japanese style everything faster and louder style grindviolence.

Terlarang

Lo-fi to the point of incomprehensibility this side of the split goes even further down the slopes of  treble-valley than Fuck On The Beach, sounding like the guitars are physically tearing the speaker cones from the amp and the rest of the band are trying frantically to hold them back in. Everything here is fast, no slow at all on this side. Maybe one or two slightly slower than lightspeed d-beat smashers floating about in there but this is really all about the pace. The fast as fuck and don't care nature is epitomised by the cats on the split cover and the last track basically sounding like black metal but being called 'Stop The Hate' in what seems to be a conscious rejection of the bullshit ideals of traditional NSBM. Nice.

This split is relentless and will hurt your ears in a charming way, fun frantic ear-splitters from start to finish.
